Who controls your data
The data controller is the site operator named in the company details card above. Questions about your data go to the email address shown there. This policy follows the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.
What data we collect
When you send the order form we receive your name and mobile number. Our server also records your IP address and the advertising tags in the link you followed, such as the name of the campaign that brought you to the site.
We do not ask for your address, ID number or payment details in the form. The operator confirms the delivery address on the phone.
- Name: to address you on the call and on the parcel
- Mobile number: to call you and confirm the order
- IP address: to block fake and repeated orders
- Advertising tags: to know which campaign brought the order
Why we use it and on what basis
We use your data to confirm, send and deliver your order and to answer your questions about it. The basis is the consent you give by sending the form and the steps you ask us to take before and under the purchase, both allowed by section 7 of the Act.
We do not sell your data. We contact you about direct marketing only if you agree, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
Who receives your data
Your name, number and delivery address go to the product's distributor in Uganda, whose order desk calls you, and to the courier who brings the parcel. Each receives only what it needs for its part of the order.
The operator is based outside Uganda. Where your data is processed or stored abroad, it goes only to countries with protection at least equal to the Act, or with your consent.
How long we keep it
We keep order data for as long as it takes to deliver the order, deal with any return or complaint and meet the record-keeping duties of the law. After that the data is deleted or stripped of anything that identifies you.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 you can ask what data we hold about you and get a copy, have wrong data corrected, have data blocked or deleted, and ask us to stop using it. A written request to stop direct marketing gets a written answer within fourteen days.
Send your request to the email address in the company details. If you believe we have broken the Act, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Office at the National Information Technology Authority – Uganda (NITA-U).
Cookies
